Proofreader and Travel Industry Professional

I am a native English speaker. I split my time working remotely between Spain and England. In 2016, I qualified as a proofreader with the College of Media and Publishing, London. It was initially a hobby because I was working full-time in the travel industry. Since then, I have proofread most books written by US author Charlene Raddon. She is an Amazon bestselling author of western romance novels. I have also worked very closely with Charlene on some of her books assisting with character development and plot. Due to the Covid pandemic and the drastic changes in the travel industry, I have been working freelance as a proofreader on a full-time basis. I have been editing and proofreading books for Cobalt Fairy, a publishing house based in Greece and the UAE (historical romance novels between 60,000 and 80,000 words), and for a publishing house based in Florida as a basic editor/proofreader (memoirs of around 120,000 words). From the end of June 2020 until April 2024, I worked as a proofreader with Higgs Technologies on the Romance Fate team, proofreading chapters of their interactive romance games. When I am not working I enjoy travelling, reading, and watching motor sport.
